I cannot say enough about Kathy Conway and her son Patrick Conway. I lived in Queen Village for 20 years and had heard of their outstanding reputation from neighbors of mine who were listing their homes with them. I finally had the priviledge to meet them first hand when I was ready to purchase a second home in QV.
From the beginning of meeting them, they stood out. They are honest people, with integrity and a firm knowledge of QV and the other areas surrounding QV. I loved how easy they were to talk to and how honest they were when they would show me homes. I was a very difficult client because I knew exactly what I wanted and it was not so easy with my dream list given the limitations of city living. They assured me that they would find what I am looking for! One day I got that call where they showed me the home I had been dreaming of so long. Sure enough it was finally the home I had been looking for: double wide home, great location in QV, two car garage attached to the house, finished basement, roof deck, and many other fabulous attributes. Then it came to trying to getting approved for the mortgage and figuring out what to do with my existing home in QV on American Street. They encouraged me to hold on to that home and rent it out and that they would help me rent it out without any finder fee involved!!! They also referred me to a great mortgage broker, so the entire transaction was painless with a very competitive rate. I ended up getting my dream home and renting out my other house (which continues to rent for the past 5 years)! As a broker, they could have thought about their own interests in my selling the first home I had, but instead, they encouraged me to hold on to it because it is a great investment!! I am so grateful I did that because it is continuing to appreciate every year!!! This was their idea and so grateful I did that!!
Recently we moved to the West Coast (California) and Pat and Kathy still help us out. I seek always their guidance about keeping our homes rented and Pat helped us rent the dream home. He has always been available on the phone if I have a question, is always responsive to my questions and always gives me good advice! He is so well connected anytime there is any issue that needs attention (minor repairs) he gives me referrals who are good people and get the job done.
I can go on and on about the Conways. They are a Class Act, a legend of Queen Village realtors and in fact I consider Pat as close as a brother ( and better than my actual brother!). I can always depend on him for his help if anything comes up with our rentals! He is so generous with his time and selfless. If I were to sell both of our homes tomorrow, I would call upon them to be my brokers. Hands down the best there is and really miss them but always visit with them when we come back to East Coast!
